# Product and Support Lifecycle

> Release branches, maintenance periods and security updates for VARIOS AI

VARIOS AI receives security updates for the entire term of your subscription. If you renew the subscription, the updates continue. The support period ends with your subscription as stated in the order confirmation.

All updates are included in the subscription and are released for the current version of your release branch. When the subscription ends, the right to use VARIOS AI ends.

## Release branches

You choose between two branches: **Monthly** for new features at short intervals, **Extended Support (ES)** for stable operation with predictable updates. You can see the branch of your instance under **Settings** > **System information** at **Release channel**.

| Security updates | until the next Monthly version | 6 months plus 1 month after the next ES version is released |

Each ES version is based on the Monthly version of the same month. You can therefore test new features in advance with the Monthly versions on a test system.

## Release calendar

ES 2026.06 receives security updates until January 2027, one month after ES 2026.12 is released.

## Conformity

VARIOS AI is developed and maintained in accordance with the requirements of EU Regulation 2024/2847 (Cyber Resilience Act). From 11 December 2027, you receive an EU declaration of conformity for every version.
